CycloFest kicks off this Mother’s Day with a celebration to cycling and mom. Sunday May 8th, Preston Street will be transformed into a cycling paradise as the street closes to traffic from Carling to Gladstone. From 10 am til 2 pm, everyone is welcome with wheels and all to roam, ride and enjoy the festivities.
A parade led by the always fashionably fit, XO VELO, will kick off the fun at 10 am with honorees Jim Watson and Catherine McKenney. In addition to the bike parade there will three activation areas focusing on cycling, fitness and kids.
Come to this free festival and get your bike tuned up, learn about helmet safety, let the kiddies ride in the bike rodeo, or take in one of the many demos put on by N1 Thai Boxing, Yogatown, Greco studios and Airborne scooters.
If all this wasn’t enough, get mom a photo with a super heroes and grab some of Pop Up Cinema’s pop corn while you watch an exciting Bike Polo match!
CycloFest is proudly presented by The Preston Street BIA, The City of Ottawa with the support of media sponsor CBC Radio
